New England Patriots Tickets – Defensive Woes
Add Tedy Bruschi to that long list of injured Patriots on the defensive side of the ball. Bruschi, a 13-year NFL veteran and New England Patriot since 1996, exited the Pats’ game against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday in the fourth play of the second quarter, injuring his knee after a collision with teammate Mike Richardson left him on the ground. The standout linebacker flew back to Boston this week to undergo tests on his left knee, and this means that if nothing else Bruschi will miss next week’s game against the Oakland Raiders (though probably more than just that game).
With Bruschi out, the Patriots’ defense is getting smaller and smaller, and it has already been waning more every day as the season wears on. Left defensive end Ty Warren was out again this week for the second straight week in a row after suffering a groin injury, outside linebacker Pierre Woods is out with a broken jaw, safety Rodney Harrison has been out most of the season with a right quadriceps injury, linebacker Adalius Thomas is out with a broken arm and rookie cornerback Terrence Wheatley is also out with a broken left wrist, leaving the New England Patriots with one bruised and battered defense. New England signed former Patriot and 10-year NFL veteran Rosey Colvin last week in the wake of Thomas and Woods’ injuries, and later that week signed another former player, Junior Seau, to their defensive lineup as well. The news of Seau’s return to the Patriots is nothing but positive for New England, as the 39-year-old linebacker and former Pro Bowler will give the Patriots some of the depth and confidence the team’s defense has been lacking for the last few weeks.
While the immediate future of linebacker Tedy Bruschi is yet unknown, the Patriots will continue using their offensive strength to overcome any deficits the team’s defense might leave. Matt Cassel continues his hot streak on the offensive side while Randy Moss and Wes Welker both give the Pats’ offense the little boost they’ve needed these last few weeks to slide past the Seahawks, Dolphins and Bills. As New England approaches the end of the regular season in games against the Raiders, Cardinals and Bills, however, Bruschi is one key player that may miss them all. No matter whether or not Bruschi returns this season, Patriots fans can get New England Patriots tickets from http://www. stubhub. com/new-england-patriots-tickets and cheer on the rest of the team as the Pats continue posting up wins in the regular season in search of a shot at the playoffs.
Bruschi, no stranger to playoffs and Super Bowl championships, has been loyal to the Patriots since 1996, when he was picked by New England in the third round of the NFL Draft out of Arizona. The star linebacker has averaged 112 tackles over the last five seasons, and he has led the Patriots in tackles for the last two seasons (with 124 in 2006 and 99 in 2007. ) In his 12 seasons with New England, Bruschi has played in 22 playoff games and five Super Bowls, one of the highest of any player in the league.
Entertainment Lawyers Find No Shortage of Work in Texas
When most people picture the work of an attorney, they probably imagine someone standing in front of a jury trying to convince twelve men and women, using strong facts and emotion, to see their way on a particular case. Thanks to television and movies, this characterization of a lawyer certainly is reasonable. And, there are amazing trial lawyers who do spend their careers in a courtroom arguing on behalf of their clients. The reality is, though, that the overwhelming amount of work that falls to most attorneys is done far from the spotlight created by a public trial. Instead, the men and women of the legal profession usually work behind the scenes to protect the professions, reputations, and finances of those for whom they work. Such is the case with the attorneys that practice entertainment law, and in Texas the need for such lawyers is found for a diverse set of circumstances within the many creative fields that find a home in our state. Entertainment law covers a wide spectrum of issues that affect people who are in some way involved with the arts. Clients requiring the services of an entertainment attorney can include athletes, actors, singers, songwriters, producers and anyone else who uses their talents for enjoyment by the public. Just think about all of the ways in which someone in the field of entertainment would require legal protection. There is a constant threat to one’s reputation courtesy of disgruntled workers and paparazzi. Imagine if someone like Angelina Jolie and now Jon or Kate Gosselin had to address all of the tabloid rumors themselves. Also, there is the need to make sure that an actor will receive his due not only when a television show first airs, but when it lives on through syndication and DVD sales. With new technologies capturing movies and television programs in ways not anticipated just a few years ago, actors are eager to renegotiate contracts for future compensation. Or, suppose you are a serious artist whose paintings hang on the most respected galleries in Austin, Houston, San Antonio or Dallas. Do you want your artwork to be copied and then mass-produced onto t-shirts to be worn by every teenager in Texas? Through copyright laws, entertainment attorneys can protect your images so that they are used only in the context that you desire. While there is no shortage of entertainment of any type in Texas, there are two areas that are of particular importance in our state. We have an amazing music industry in Texas, with Austin especially being known for its cultivation of talent. Singers, songwriters, music producers, record label owners—all have significant investment in the talent that is being packaged. Artist recording contracts must be written to determine a singer’s ties to a record label as well as the freedom he or she will have in the creative process. What if another artist loves your work and wants to integrate it into his own new recording? Attorneys will be needed to prepare the necessary licenses for music sampling. And, even though the singers who appear on stage in sold-out arenas and find themselves in heavy rotation on the weekly video countdown are the ones who usually get the glory for a great song, songwriters need to know that their work is being validated both financially and with due recognition when appropriate. In addition to the wonderful music that Texans offer the rest of the world, everyone knows that the residents of our great state love their sports. Whether we are cheering on our favorite high school team under the lights on a Friday night or welcoming home the most famous cyclist on the planet from yet another improbable victory, we have an appreciation for athletes and the value that they bring to our recreational time. With this emphasis engrained on kids throughout the Lone Star State, it is no surprise that we have more than our share of athletes raised in our state. Also, great athletes come to Texas from around the country to play for one of our many professional organizations. All of these men and women need contracts to ensure that they are fairly compensated for their contributions to the sport of their choice. Over the course of a career, it is not unlikely that an athlete will need an attorney to assist with disputes involving agents, managers, or players’ associations. We all have seen the news stories detailing what happens when salary negotiations break down or a player doesn’t feel he is getting the time of the field that he deserves. What about the opportunities for income that may present themselves away from the sports venue? When you see Dale Earnhardt, Jr. endorsing Wrangler Jeans or Tiger Woods speaking of the great virtues of Gatorade, you can be sure that lawyers were involved in the negotiations for these partnerships. Men and women who choose to pursue a career within the entertainment industry will almost certainly find the need for legal representation at some point. Even with the smoothest of professional experiences, entertainers must deal with such necessary acts as signing contracts, preparing a tour schedule, and lending their image to others seeking an endorsement. When problems arise, the issues are often magnified through the lens of celebrity and an aggressive and dedicated Entertainment law attorney is required. When an artist or athlete is not getting properly compensated, when efforts are made to extort money in return for tantalizing information that may or may not be true, or when injuries occur due to inappropriate working conditions, the role of the entertainment lawyer becomes even more imperative.
DOES KERALA REALLY DESERVE THIS CROWN?
A well-known poet, an eminent environmentalist of national repute, but for her initiative in mobilizing public opinion and outcry against the proposed construction of Silent Valley Hydro-electric project, the valley would have been non-existent by now. It would have brought about ecological plunder and destruction of invaluable flora and fauna, lush greenery, the rivulets, streams and the total extinction of rare species like lion-tailed monkeys and birds only found in Silent Valley. A well-known social-activist, champion of hapless women and orphans- her tireless- efforts brought about a sort of protective covering or shelter to them ie those in the lower strata of society. Her father, a great poet and freedom fighter and her sister a great educationist. Her area of activities is confined to the State of Kerala, unlike a Medha Patker, but kept abreast of all the goings on around national level. I am prompted to pen this piece as I happened to go through a letter appeared in a regional daily of national stature last week. She laments: What has gone wrong with our State, Kerala? (Remember this is God’s own country). She goes on: Everyone is sad and apprehensive. The situation is getting worser and worser day by day. Thefts, looting, robbery, attacks, murders, women trafficking, molestation and rape, the law and order machinery remaining helpless, while the anti-social elements go on the rampage, even daring to take on the law enforcers, ministers and even court orders to rein on the restive elements fall on deaf ears. Sugatha Kumari, reminding me of a helpless and hapless mother witnessing her children going astray and fight among themselves shedding much blood continues unabated remain a mute witness with a turbulent sea in the inner recesses of her heart . The long patient, polite queing up of the drunkards infront of government beverage shops saddens her. Almost all bar-attached five-star hotels lavishly illuminated with colourful bulbs through out the night ( at the same time the State electricity board complaining always about power shortage and frequent raising of tariffs putting much burden on the heads of average customers) and embellished with festoons and the large crowd rushing to occupy seats in the air-conditioned moonlit ambience with Pop music blaring out in the background compels the poet to reach a conclusion- Kerala has claimed the credit for the land of the greatest drunkards. Though with pangs in her heart she has already ‘crowned’ our land for winning this ‘coveted’ prize. Her observation though with sorrow and frustration touches each and every aspect of our accursed society. Communalism- both minority and majority- and related squabbles, clashes, attacks, blood-chilling murders, terrorism taking deep roots everywhere, even the recent incarnation of Dalit militancy and murders of innocent pedestrians by its followers have shaken the serene, peaceful foundations of our State – once acclaimed as a land peace, blessed with a natural landscape, rivers, verdant hills, lakes, streams, rivulets and near cent-percent literacy. Whether all these blessings will fade into oblivion in course of time with the greenery vanishing gradually due to ecological destruction, rivers getting polluted by effluents being pumped by chemical factories on the river-banks destroying in the process the rich diversity of fish and other habitat and the illegal sand-mining leading to rivers getting dried-up, poor infrastructure facilities like crater-filled roads, lack of drainage system, sanitation facilities, shortage of safe drinking water, poor transport facilities, sorry state of irrigation system and the toiling farmers remain a nightmare to the well-wishers across the State. So what? Thanks to some national news channels, our state has come out on top on several positive factors in flying colours according to a survey conducted by them. Now we can very well imagine the plight of other States of our “blessed nation” ie. India. Cheer up our great poet.
Where Do You Go When All Hope Seems to be Gone?
Copyright (c) 2009 Good News PublicationsWhere do you go when all hope has been taken away? Can you still put on a smile, quote your favorite positive saying and look on the bright side of things? That’s what some say to do and if it only has to do with some negative events or a little stress or pressure in your life, then sure we can all suck it up and move on. But what about that gut punch that drops you to your knees mentally and emotionally what do you do then?I remember what it felt like when they told me my wife had breast cancer at 32 years old and we had two small children at home under the age of four. And that was just me; what about my wife who had to hear those words? What do you do? Where do you go when all hope seems to be taken away? It’s easy to say, “Change your thinking, be positive, tomorrow’s a new day” if you’ve never been there, but when you face that dark night of the soul that looks like a bottomless pit, then all that exhortation and happy talk is meaningless. So what do you do then? If you’ve never been there you will not know what I’m talking about, but hopefully you’ll keep reading and learn something so when that day does come you’ll be prepared. If you’ve been there like me, I’m sure you are ready to hear more. Being a Christian doesn’t make me immune from the troubles of life. Sickness, death and grief will cross all of our paths at some point. But as a Christian I’m very interested in how God helps us in these situations. I look for real examples not pat answers and religious clichés, I don’t have time all the God-in-a box formulas everyone preaches today. I want real answers for real life, so I look to see what I can find. In Acts 27 the Apostle Paul was being taken from Jerusalem to Rome as a prisoner which meant they had to sail the Mediterranean Sea. It’s in this record that I found what happens when all hope is taken away-you should read it some time to see the whole incident. As they started to sail Paul warned them of trouble, but they refused to listen to him. After several hard days of sailing for lack of wind and a few stops they decided to push on because the wind seemed favorable. But as soon as they were out to sea they were caught up in a Hurricane. At first they tried to ride it out or make their way to the edge, but had no luck. Then they started throwing everything overboard to lighten the load. They even used chains to tie the ship together from side to side so it wouldn’t break apart. But no matter what they did, they couldn’t break loose and were being carried along with the storm. Then comes that soul shaking verse. . . “And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was then taken away. “Do you see what is going on here? They had done it all, said it all, tried it all and nothing worked-it just kept getting worse. Then they reached that moment, that bottom of the pit when all hope was taken away. No affirmations are going to help here. These were Roman soldiers and seasoned sailors, they weren’t weak men and yet the verse records their state of mind-all hope that we should be saved was then taken away. What do all the “Do-it-Yourselfers” do now?Well, the record in Acts tells us what to do. Immediately after showing us that “all hope was taken away”, Paul steps up on the deck of the ship and tells every one to cheer up, that God has shown him that they are all going to be saved and only the ship will be lost. Now I want you to understand two things here. First of all, when Paul said this, the clouds didn’t part, the sun didn’t come out and birds didn’t start signing. In fact they continued in this storm for a total of fourteen days, so nothing on the surface changed-except HOPE. And that’s the second thing to see here. When all hope was lost and man could do nothing on his own, God sent hope because He is the God of Hope. So what do you do when all hope has been taken away, you look to the God of Hope. The situation may not clear up instantly, but as long as there is hope, there is a way out.
Edgar Allan Poe’s Unity Of Impression – How To Write A Short Story
When I sat down to write my mini story on “Alzheimer’s” I pretty much had on mind Edgar Allan Poe’s writing principle: Unity of impression. To bind the story together I used an object (a 100-burnt out light bulb) that would mirror and symbolize human life: that it eventually burns out. Poe held that a good work has to be short enough to be read in one sitting. If it requires two sittings, the unity of impression and effect is damaged. That is why he was so critical of Milton’s long poem “Paradise Lost. ” Because of that long-held belief, Poe wrote only one novel: “The Narrative of A. Gordon Pym. ” A novel must be read by taking human bites of a few chapters at a time. Edgar Allan Poe is one the most prolific American writers of the 19th century. He is particularly well known for his short stories of horror and terror, and also for his long poem, the Raven. Poe began his career writing Gothic fiction, especially through the tales of the macabre for which he is now so famous. In all his tales Poe never deviates from the “Unity” principle. In one of his letters, he writes: “In writing these Tales . . . at long intervals, I have kept the book-unity always in mind . . . with reference to its effect as part of a whole. ” The narrator of “Ligeia” at one point cites Lord Bacon’s dictum: “There is no exquisite beauty says Bacon, Lord Verulam, speaking truly of all the forms and genera of beauty, without some strangeness in the proportion. ” On the surface this seems to paradoxical, but on deeper reflection is holds some truth. In addition, Poe also observed that “The death . . . of a beautiful woman is unquestionably the most poetical topic in the world. ” With the above two observations, together with the “Unity” principle I wrote my story in one sitting. For those of you who have not read it, here it is:
Alzheimer, Love, and Mercy – the Death of a Beautiful Woman Glancing through my bookshelves I noticed a book entitled, The Things They Carried. This is a book about GIs who served in Vietnam and in which the author captures the spirit of the nation by the artifacts the soldiers carried into battle. To fix the remembrances we value we carry or keep our favorite things. In my case, I value a 100-watt burnt out light bulb more than anything else I can think of. I will explain in a moment. In the mid-sixties, as both Mary Patricia and I were pursuing our separate careers, we had to juggle our time to hold our marriage together and to spend quality time with our first-born daughter. As a budding concert pianist, Mary Patricia’s schedule was filled with auditions, recitals, and long practice hours. To pay bills I took a break from school and got a job. We needed help-desperately. One good day, it occurred to me that my mother-in-law -a widow for many years- who lived all by herself in a big house in Boston, perhaps should move in to live with us here in Manhattan. “With Jim now in the Marines,” I said to Mary Patricia, “she must be lonely. ” “Mom misses Jim a lot. ” With a melancholy voice Mary Patricia went on, “I must admit she favored my brother. Sometimes I felt like I was a glass pane-that she’d look through me. But not with Jim-oh, no. Her gaze would always linger on him. ” “You’re imagining things,” I would say to soother her. “Moms love their children equally. ” Mary Patricia agreed to talk to her mom. And to our relief, Portia welcome the idea and soon she moved in with us. For fourteen precious years Portia enriched and sweetened our lives, for in my long years of existence besides my wife I haven’t met anyone as noble and kind-hearted as my mother-in-law. Endowed with an eye for colors and patterns, in her mild manner, she would suggest that I change ties, that a particular jacket or shoes were more appropriate. Never for a single day or moment did I have to worry about loose buttons, frayed cuffs, or soiled or spotted garments. Portia inspected and maintained my personal attire, just as she had with her husband’s (a distinguished and famed Boston attorney). While the war in Vietnam was raging and seemed distant to many, in our household it was a daily threat. Jim -Mary Patricia’s brother, Portia’s son- was there. An occasional letter from Jim would relieve Portia’s anxiety. But the specter of doom filled her days. Having lost my student deferment, I had no choice but to accept a commission as a second lieutenant in the US Army. After advanced training in Fort Benning, Georgia, and Fort Lawton in Oklahoma, I soon received my orders and shipped out to Vietnam. While I came back from the war, Jim never did. Yet Portia never begrudged her loss. She accepted Jim’s fate and his memory became a constant source of pride, for Jim had fallen with the gallantry of a true American hero in the battle for Khe Sanh. And many were the posthumous citations and medals that the Marines awarded him. With my nerves shattered and suffering from hallucinations and nightmares, for a couple of years, Mary Patricia and Portia nursed me back to life. Like a divine angel of mercy Portia ministered to my shredded soul and body. My return to civilian life wasn’t easy, and had it not been for Portia, God knows what dark impulses would have seized my feeble reason. When I got well and started working again, Portia once again looked after me with motherly love, respect, and sweetness. It seemed to me that she waited for the hours of the day to pass so that when I came home from work, she could greet me with a cup of hot tea and cookies. At times I felt bad for Mary Patricia, for Portia’s attentions to her were not as expressive. Having grown up during the Great Depression, Portia was thrifty and not given to frivolous spending. Many a time, as I saw Portia use her 100-watt burnt out light bulb to mend my socks, I would ask Mary Patricia: “Wouldn’t it be more economical if I buy new socks? In today’s economy no one mends socks anymore. ” “She did that for that dad. Let her be,” Mary Patricia would reply. Then one ill-starred day an incident happened that was the harbinger of bad things to come. Hot tea and cookies on the table by my side, I watched the 6 PM news. In the next instant, Portia walks in with another tray with cookies and hot tea. An awkward moment it was, for I was just as confused as she was. Realizing her duplicate action, Portia retreated to the kitchen carrying the tray, eyes filled with tears. I never gave it another thought until other little things started to become obvious that something was amiss. Faced with the unmistakable facts that Portia wasn’t well mentally, we took her to a specialist. The diagnosis was ‘dementia caused by Alzheimer’s loss of memory. ‘ Portia became adamant and wanted to return to Boston to live in her own house again. But she no longer owned that house, for she had sold it when she moved in with us. And since her illness was progressing at a rapid pace, we had no choice but to install her in a facility that specialized in Alzheimer’s patients. Many a weekend we would drive out to visit with her. And our visits seemed to cheer her up. But the decease advanced with unremitting force, and one day we got word that she had been taken to the hospital. We rushed there. “Jim, Oh-Jim!” Portia exclaimed when she saw me, her eyes wide with motherly love. “You’re back!” Taken aback for one second, my initial reaction was to correct her, I’m not Jim-I’m Marc, I wanted to say. Still surprised, I turned to Mary Patricia to take a clue from her, but she wasn’t about to help since her eyes were filled with tears. So I leaned over and hugged Portia and then kissed her withered and lined faced. “That Army major said you were killed. . . I knew it was a mistake. Oh, Jim-my son!” Though this scene happened more than thirty years ago, I can still feel the lump in my throat occluding my air way, slowly descending to my stomach where it hit me with physical pain as when the wind is knocked out of you. Not having the heart to burst Portia’s bubble of happiness, I simply said, “Mom,” as I kissed her face once again. Her eyes lids fluttered and she seemed to drift into sleep. But in the next instant she focused on Mary Patricia and addressed her: “Why are you crying my dear? Jim never brought a girl home before. He must be serious-he’s a good boy. What’s your name, dear?” As if fatigued by a strenuous task, Portia drifted into sleep, or so it seemed. Moments later, the senior resident doctor leading a retinue of interns came into the room. After looking at Portia’s chart he said, “. . . we’re all billionaires and millionaires; the brain holds more than 100 billion neurons, but a few million will burn out affecting not only our senses, but also our memory banks. ” Although the doctor kept his voice low as he went on with his ambulatory lecture to the interns, we could hear parts of it: “In advanced cases. . . no current cure. . . God’s mercy. ” Suddenly Portia opened her eyes, and seeing the group of doctors, said: “Doctor, Jim’s back! My son is back from the war. . . I’m so happy-and now I can go. . . yes?’ Confused and bewildered by what Portia was saying, I looked at the doctor who seemed to be decoding her words. Beaming like a child with new shoes, Portia looked at me, “Jim-those verses your dad used to recite and I couldn’t remember to save my soul, just came to me, just now. Listen!” Clearly, I heard her say: The quality of mercy is not strained
It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven
Upon the place beneath Later that day, Mary Patricia told me that the doctor called and informed her that Portia had passed away in her sleep. Benumbed with grief, all I could think of was that 100-watt burnt light bulb.
Hollywood Is In A Different Universe
Popular magazines like Star and the National Enquirer report on the scandalous and interesting lives of our favorite celebrities. Most readers come to expect for Stars to be a little eccentric, as most creative and artistic people are. Even though I understand that those in Hollywood happen to live in a different galaxy than the rest of us, lately I have been getting the feeling that they live in a different universe all together. If you should disagree, I will provide you with my top 3 reasons that Hollywood is a completely different universe.
Kevin Federline Is Considered a Better Choice as a Parent
Kevin Federline is known as many things, an unemployable former back up dancer, would be rapper, and a cad, who happened to leave his girlfriend while she was seven months pregnant. Most people cheered with glee when Britney Spears decided that it was time to put the kibosh on their tumultuous union. Yet, as of today if you ask anyone who they believe should be raising Sean Preston, and Jayden James, the two children he sired with Spears, most people would without hesitation say Federline. Only in Hollywood would Kevin Federline make the better parent.
Madonna Has Turned Into A prude
Though Madonna has moved to England, and adopted some weird hybrid British American accent, she is a major player in the entertainment community. Madonna is probably known for her sexy persona, and her ability to push the limits, sexual and otherwise. She has been romantically linked to some of the top players in Hollywood including Warren Beatty and Sean Penn.
Yet, the material girl turned mom has turned into a prude. She has stated that she will not allow her daughter Lourdes to date until she turns 18, and does not allow her 3 children to consume junk food or watch television. The woman who gained notoriety for videos such as Justify My Love and carved a career out of the visual medium has decided that television is trash? Does anyone but me see the irony in this?
Antonella Barber is News
What happened to the days of being famous for actually doing something? Antonella Barber, at least I believe that is her last name, I currently do not find her important enough to actually check, is making quite the stir this week. Antonella is the most likely contestant to be booted off American Idol as she sounds mediocre at best has made headlines for some racy photos making their rounds through the media including the internet.
Antonella, who had she any talent would have become famous for her singing but is now gaining notoriety for salacious photos that may be a marketing ploy on her part is doing what many other celebrity hopefuls do. She will become famous for being famous and not doing anything noteworthy at all. I am hoping the hoopla will die down and an actual celebrity will begin to make headlines.

How to Get Into Amateur Astronomy With Tasco Telescopes
For many people there first home telescope happens to be a Tasco astronomy telescope. A Tasco astronomy telescope may not be the best astronomy telescope on the market, however, it has allowed people easy entry into the hobby of astronomy and looking at the stars and other space objects.
I remember a Tasco astronomy telescope from Toys R Us. Walking down the isles around the science section, there was a astronomy telescope. I simply had to get it the Tasco astronomy telescope. After all I had a fond interest in seeing the Moon, stars and other space objects.
How To Make The Most Of Betting On Celebrities And Reality TV
Not only is betting a type of entertainment, but entertainment can actually be a betting venue as well.
For many of us the world of superstars, television reality shows and celebrity indiscretions are completely fascinating. We discuss such events at the water cooler at work. We read the latest while commuting on the train and we speculate on what will happen next over drinks at the pub. We are hooked and we want to get involved with what is going on in some way.
So, is this world really much different than sports? We are spectators of the game with players we cheer for and players we despise. We hope for victories in whatever the current challenges are. It is very much like a sport (for those not really interested in footie and such like).
The Next Step
Well, it only follows that we should be able to turn this passion into a reason to lay a little wager down and possibly earn a little on a win. Well, we can do just that and we are doing it in great numbers already. Especially with the ease of online betting, we are betting on entertainment like never before.
Because of the regular hounding of celebrities and their virtual lack of any kind of personal life in this day and age of electronic media, plus our insatiable lust for details of their lives, betting on what they will or will not do is an entire territory of its own in the betting world. An interesting job for odds makers for certain.
The reality of this kind of betting is that we are so connected with the twists and turns and complicated doings of famous personalities that we feel we are equipped with enough personal knowledge to determine what their next moves will be. And, we are often right. Payouts to those betting on stars, reality show celebrities and other television shows are taking place. As with any other betting game, this is one that captivates a huge portion of the population and makes them want to get involved in the outcome in some way.
Getting Personal
As with any topic, there are those who like to weigh in on what is right and what is wrong with an activity. This one is the same. There have recently been a lot of opinions written and broadcast about the matter of celebrity ’stalking’ by media. Some people believe that public personalities must accept this as their lot in life while others are saying that there should be a stop put to the extent of media access to public personalities.
Whatever you believe about this matter, the fact is that we as a society are very involved in the comings and goings of our celebrities and public personalities. How large a part of our lives we let that fascination take is a choice to be made by us individually. If we find no wrong in casually keeping up with the latest news about the stars and even betting on it now and again, we are in fact in the majority here. Now that’s entertainment.
